April Shower
Poem I wrote from rain shower last night, which I've stayed half-awake in listening to it. Most is written in tetrameter but I break the rules.
April Shower
April shower deluges on downpour,
Gusts of winds, rainfall engulfs as it pours,
Gobble up windows and goes out the spouts,
Like a thirsty hobo who slakes on draught,
He billows with slops and vapor,
Rain in a body of winds and downpour,
Slaps against the mouths with strident force,
Tap, tap —rain drums where there was once light,
April shower deluges on downpour,
Rainwater reposes to drops, outpours,
Come morning, a misty fog hovers,
Few drops sojourns, drips down, and peters out,
While gentle winds stay, faint teardrops flow out,
April shower deluges on downpour.
