Freedom Fighter
Evita Peron, an Argentina actress had worked her way up from a poor, working class background to the top of the world, and using her fame as a successful actress, she used that leverage to become the First Lady of Argentina. Evita also helped her husband, Juan Peron to become the president of Argentina. She addressed crowds filled with every day people and worked in helping to fill their needs. I have watched the movie Evita, starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas when it first came out and I watched it again. Evita addresses the people of her country and gives promising speeches to give hope to the people of Argentina.
Freedom Fighter
I stand before many men,
who gather here in the thousands,
I stand for the thousands and every one of his rights,
I stand for many men, common men—proletariats, bourgeoisie of society,
I stand for many men in society, who work jointly and free them of hunger,
I stand for many men, who also suffer from poverty, diseases,
To seek in fulfilling their dreams til it seeks once and for all,
Freedom to speak, express, and receive,
By the making of our citizens that seek their rights,
Informed by their government that can fulfill,
Fulfill lives for families who seeks their voices,
Not only for those with honors and titles,
But for every men of the country as said,
Our Founding Fathers has said ‘all men are created equal,’
Many men by the thousands and men of every race,
Many men by the thousands and who work as laborers,
Many men by the thousands — shopkeepers, teachers, bankers,
Many men by the thousands that toil and labor in hope for a change,
Many men by the thousands — by hundreds, by dozens til they become their own,
Many men band together for cause of their lives,
Many men band together, and I, a woman of the people, speak for their rights.
