The Amazing Spiderman 2

The Amazing Spiderman 2

Watch Sony and Marvel join forces in the marvelous remake of Spiderman.  It will leave you breathless (at least from my experience).  I must have seen this version at least 10 times!
This new remake of Spiderman stars a relatively unknown cast Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone coupled with few well-seasoned supporting casts:  Jamie Fox, Sally Field, Campbell Scott.  A stunning opener sets off the first scenePeter Parker's parents, while traveling on air in a private plane,  meet hijackers which sets off a chain of events for the plane to crash.

Thus begins a grappling action sequencea real attention-grabber.  I Firstly, I had been weary of a new Spiderman, after all, what happened to Tobey Maguire?  But Andrew Garfield does not disappoint his boyish good looks and lithe figurescurry across the city like a natural.  Looking thin on the big screen, but he is more buffed, muscular in person.  Garfield and Stone look good on the screen.  How about the movie's ending?  Unpredictable.  The female protagonist, Gwen (Stone) had to be sacrificed.  Some dark scenes occur in the movie.  Villains in this newly revised version calls for dark scenes.  Spiderman battles two big villains the big bad boys that are hard to fight and then some.  After dueling it out with Electro (Jamie Foxx), the city has once again become safe from a villainous uprising.  Then and only then, his old childhood friend Harry Osborn has morphed, maddened, and transformed to a monstrous creature (see excess saliva foaming in his mouth).  Green Goblin peers out in the dark night.  The Goblin immediately grasps a hold of Gwen and threatens her safety, lifting her into the sky.  The Goblin physically lets her go as Spiderman demands him so, throwing her carelessly down onto the roof of the building.  Gwen has been thrown down to the building and Spiderman catches her, plunging down together to the building's interior through the glass ceiling, scattering slivers of broken glasses over Spiderman's back and the premise.  Gwen is safe now because Spiderman has protected her from any bodily harm.  But Spiderman can only do so much as a superhero.  Limited in his scope in fighting the Goblin and protecting his girl simultaneously.  (He only has two arms and two legs)  [The scene may remind you of another busy action hero, Superman who cried in wrath over Lois Lane's death . . . but did something about it.  Superman and his mighty superpowers reverse time on earth.  He flies around the globe counter-clockwise at his fastest speed, reversing time, and turning back to the hour when Lois Lane was alive, saving the day once again.]  However, Spiderman has more of a human formWhat is to be said of superheroes and their schedules?  It is impossible to attend to everyone's beck-and-call.  But the show must go on . . . and after some time to grieve, Peter Parker, Spiderman returns (once again) to battle villains that wreak havoc in the metropolis.

"My Superhero," is inspired from Spiderman and Superman (borrowing subtext theme of the original Superman, Lois voices her inner thoughts out loud for audiences to hear as Superman takes her flying).  My first crush had been Superman or Tarzan, not able to decipher who it was exactly Christopher Lambert or Reeve?  But it comes down to this . . . their hero character.  Questions in my poem has been borrowed from Lois Lane's inner thoughts that speaks to teh audience in the original Superman.  The rest of the description is from Spiderman and his powers.

My Superhero is written in Shakespearean Rhyme Scheme:

Come fly away, *skedaddle* my spry hero dashes, thrashes,

Come rush in, *whir* he flexes, tilts, in back of skyscrapers,

He flies up, up, up to city’s towers, prevail against,

Out of city’s turrets, he duels foes with super powers,

By his faith in justice, he swoops, skirrs in battles, prevails,

Swooshwaltz against the windat lightning speed, safeguarding boroughs,

Messiah for commonwealth, my protector who never fails,

He scoops his arms aroundgrips my body by his fingers,

Lays his love—curly Venetian pink lips—I take one breath once,

Underneath the glow of the cherry-tea-rose-lit sky drop,

Will you stay true, single during our fond romance?

Or will your liking fade, wither at the first sight of bouts?

We come together as a winsome pair symmetrically,

My superhero does in his power swimmingly.
