Ring In January 2021 Steals

January begins a new year.  New Year sets off new models.  New models mean new cars.  Look out for great steals.  Companies like Honda, Toyota, and Nissan introduce new 2021 models for consumers.  But come July, the brand new models’ prices drop at steep discounts.  The new becomes the old.  January also launches last year’s goods at discount prices.  Consumers find steep discounts on 2020 goods that have now become old.  Girls, find a gem off-the-rack at department stores everywhere in a slim-fitting number dubbed designer wool winter coats at discount prices towards January’s end.  Boys, find last year’s latest electronic gadgets at bargain prices.  I have browsed on hot new gadgets online last year and my list includes wireless headphones (some noise-cancelling), fitness monitoring watch, light pouch or bag-fitting notebooks/laptops.

Headphones have come a long way since am/fm walkmans.  Dr. Dre’s Beats took a modern beat to music lovers by a sandstorm expanding a wider bandwidth along with fashionably enlarged leather-bind and trimmed headphones.  Boys in hip-hop gear wore them at the gym scaling it to new heights.  Most wireless headphones have adapted this hip modern ergonomic look onto headphones.  Why wear large headphones than smaller compact earphones?  They are a healthier choice on your eardrums.  Jacking up the volume on your earphones is neither good on your eardrums nor provides comfortable ease on your ears.  Since the advancement of digital technology, wi-fi, and bluetooth, wireless headphones have hit the shelves at electronic stores.  Yes, you can listen to your music without the hassle of scrambling through wire cables to plug into your cell, tablet, computer, and T.V.  Just how do you do it?  Stay roughly 150-feet close to the electronic device.  Noise-cancelling headphones with built-in Bluetooth add a savory, scintillating touch to quiet comfort of easy listening.  Bose, Sony, and Apple joined in the act.  Apple’s AirPods are more expensive with shimmering square scalloped-edged silver headphones that have an ergonomic shape but a delicate surface.  Apple’s have controls on top that adjusts the volume plus other spiffy features.  Apple is the scimitar; others are small Swiss army knives.  Leave it to Apple in creating new top-of-the-line designs compared to other brands.  Pay twice the price for Apple.  Otherwise buy bargain hunter’s prices at Bose, Sony, and Samsung.  Samsung’s savvy silicon earbuds slice the price.  The only upkeep is charging the wireless headphones’ battery.  Sony prices range from $59.99 - $109.99.  Bose range from $229-$299.  AirPods are $549.  Samsung earpods range from $79.99-$139.  If all of the above are too pricey, save with Skullcandy's earbuds at $10.49.

Ring in the New Year with new goals.  New exercise regimens keep you going while challenging yourself continuously makes your exercise never boring.  Why get stuck in a rut when you can soar to new heights?  Mix up and change your workouts.  Keep your exercise interesting by rallying up your workout routine.  Track your heart rate, steps,  distances travelled, calories burned in 14-18 sports modes —cycling, swimming, elliptical, rowing and more.  Record your heart rates and/or distances traveled and kick it up a notch; next swim or run and extend it a bit longer or do it at a faster speed.  Keeping track keeps you off the even plateau and breaks you out to hilly and mountainous zones.  Varying up your routine gradually increases your fitness as you get closer to hitting your target rate.  Take note of my favorite feature on the fitness watches:  waterproof or water resistant.  Wear them around your wrist while freely swimming at the beach or in pools as it records your laps and stroke rates.  While you sleep, track your sleep stages.
